Background

Nine of the twenty fastest growing occupations through the year 2010 are in the healthcare industry. An aging population increases the need for healthcare professionals. Miami-Dade County is full of foreign health professionals unable to put their medical expertise to use due to poor English skills, lack of information, and unfamiliarity with credentialing procedures.

The Medical Occupations and Vocational English Resource Project (MOVER) proposes to help foreign health professionals in Miami-Dade County achieve their employment goals.
